Blackjack-Increase Your Odds With Basic Strategy Plus
· Jun 26, 08:04 AM

by: Tom McBroom

Blackjack Basic Strategy, played perfectly in a game with favorable rules, will reduce the edge against you to about one half of one percent, the best odds of any game in the casino.

But still – it’s a negative edge. While you can win in the short term on any given day, in the long term that one half percent edge against you will eventually grind you down if you play long enough and frequently enough.

An advanced basic strategy – or what we call Basic Strategy Plus – is necessary for you to step up from being a casual player to being a serious recreational player who has a better chance of winning over the long term.

To reduce the small edge against you with Basic Strategy even further, and at times even turn it into a positive edge in your favor, you simply must pay attention to the cards on the table and develop some sense of the proportion of high cards versus low cards remaining in the deck. This is exactly what a card counter does.

But you don’t have to spend the hundreds of hours it takes to become a proficient card counter. You can get a general sense of the proportion of high versus low cards by doing something called “counting the table”. Counting the table simply means that in any given hand, you look at the exposed cards for all hands on the table (including the dealer’s hand). Do a quick count of all the high cards (tens, jacks, queens, kings) and all the low cards (2 – 5). There are an equal number of these high and low cards.

If there are a much larger number of low cards showing than high cards (at least 6 more low cards than high cards in a six deck game), chances are that the deck now is slightly richer in high cards, which is favorable for the player. Conversely, if there are many more high cards showing than low cards (again, at least six more), chances are the deck is now slightly richer in low cards, which is bad for the player.

Armed with the information gained from this quick table count, you can now adjust your play accordingly and thus be playing a little more like a professional.

For example, there are some basic strategy moves that are so close that they could go either way. If you are doing a table count, you have additional information that may indicate a change in what basic strategy says to do in certain of these close call situations.

To illustrate, let’s take the example of one of the most dreaded hands in Blackjack: your 16 count versus the dealers 10 up card. Basic strategy says to hit your 16 against a dealer’s 10, but this is an extremely close call. You very badly need a 4 or 5 in order to tie or win if the dealer also has a 10 card down.

So, using the table count, here’s what you do. If the table count shows at least 6 more lows than highs, then stand on your 16 against a 10. A disproportionate amount of low cards have been dealt and this lowers your odds of getting a low card to point where you should now stand with your 16.

There are several more close calls with Basic Strategy that can be refined further with Basic Strategy Plus, as well as other decisions that can now be made more intelligently and these are explained in detail on the author’s web site.

Good luck!

Poker Scalping
· Jun 25, 01:15 PM

by: Darren Power

I’m not sure if Poker Scalping is a recognised term for what I’m about to explain, but for me it sums up a strategy used by a lot of professional gamblers.

That strategy in a nutshell is that of preying on new and vulnerable poker players in order to win consistent hourly wages from playing poker.

Every day thousands of bad poker plays go online at the nets largest poker site and play badly and lose their money. That money is won not just by good poker players but also by poker players who play systematically. That is they play tight they know their odds and they play business like.

These professional players are winning and winning big with some making regular six figure salaries year in and year out.

There is an unlimited supply of bad players to win from and more are added daily. All you have to do is to have a strategy and some tools.

Now maybe “preying on new players” is strong language, but what you have to keep in mind is that these players will lose to somebody and that while they are losing they are getting an education. And to be honest if you dive in to a financial transaction without any real knowledge of what you’re doing, other than what you have seen on TV then you have to expect to pay for your education.

There are an unlimited number of players and more come online everyday and the added bonus is that nobody cares if you are winning. No casino heavy looking over your shoulder, no bookmaker cutting your bets. The casino takes a rake from everything you win and all they care about is that you play, they want you playing at their tables.

So how do you get some of this action. Well you need to make sure that you aren’t one of the TV poker suckers. You need an education.

Your first step to earning regular poker income is to join a poker room and spend a little time familiarising yourself with the set up, get familiar with the software, watch some games and play some free games.

Your next step is to formulate a simple set of rules that you will play by. You can do this by buying the best poker strategy books over at Amazon. Or you can do it the way we did. And that’s by learning from the professionals that already win regularly.

There are a number of guides available online that will teach you how to play to win and if you visit our resource page at www.betting-school.com/pokscalp.html we will tell you which ones are worth their weight in gold.

If you get started today there is absolutely no reason why you couldn’t be making an extra thousand or two next month and before you know it you will be a six figure winner.

Remember you don’t need to be lucky when you have a plan. For resources that will ensure your success with this strategy visit www.betting-school.com/pokscalp.html

Why Your Headline Will Make You Or Break You!
· Jun 25, 09:51 AM

Why Your Headline Will Make You Or Break You!
by Arne Yri Email to a friend Copy to clipboard

The value of a proper headline when dealing with a project (or anything else for that matter) cannot be stressed enough…

Yep! I’m talking of the headline of your email correspondence here…

It only makes the day for a project manager so much more comfortable (not to mention easier), when he/she has to find something in a hurry…

And, usually…

What else… normally…
is a project other than…

“In A Hurry…”

So, if you’d just give me an appropriate headline, I’m very apt to forgive everything else, and especially typos;-) – slang or whatever have you.

The need for understandable language however…
Still though, just my 2 cents…

Whenever I got e-mails of character “more or less garbled”, I’d call back to make sure the importance of such a post… And, if nothing else, make the person understand the value of an appropriate – to the CASE headline!

ALSO:
Whenever I had to send people e-mails myself, I’d ALWAYS follow-up through a personal visit (in person) or follow up the e-mail by a phone call…

( That is, if the message was of particular imporance or of any urgency of nature, of course. Sometimes both… – when extremely important as to avoid EVERY possibility of a misunderstanding)

AND:
I cannot STRESS enough the importance of this!

Besides…
In the end… I cannot even count the endless millions saved from being flushed down the sewers of project-managemen-hell – purely by following this simple… little… routine…

The most obvious reason is that you get to eliminate the fuzz and the potential B.S. INSTANTLY…

BUT…

The most important (perhaps) and not always so obvious reason?

This way there will be NO phreaking way anybody involved could ever lamely excuse themselves with the so popular and widely used:

“Ohhhh! Oh my… I didn’t know that…”

Or even …—-> you didn’t have to put up with the even more so annoying:
“Oh… I didn’t know that… I NEVER got anything like that from you…”

Just try applying this strategy yourself;-)

It’ll only take a few more (no need for more than 2 to 5 more minutes normally) minutes of your day…

..BUT, I’ll promise you… These 5 more mins will more than be worth it by the end of your week…

BECAUSE:
While the other guy still is scrambling around, you have eliminated just 1 more obstacle that otherwise could’ve set you hours, and even days and weeks back due to stupid mis-communication and needless errors…

And, just so you know, this ONE tactic alone, made it possible for me to go in – take over projects other people – more experienced – more “skilled” and longer in the trade than me – had to abandon…

..Projects gone so astray that you’d be embarrassed (and then some) to call it YOUR assignment…

Still though, among others – this one thing made it possible – not only to rescue these lemons that no-one wanted…

..but, without exception, it made it possible to do so (rescue them) – within 90 days and less.

Making them absolute killer money machines in a snap…

No matter what size – no matter how down the sewers the project ever was…

And, usually…

The project never took more than 3-4 weeks to be back on its feet…

So, the morals here must be:
NEVER underestimate the power of seemingly small,
and unimportant things like these…

In the end, these are the nuggets that
will separate the loosers from the winners…

And, in my experience as Project Manager, you, the Project Manager live a potentially “Dangerous” life…
You are like a King/Queen, but without land of your own…

And, the head of the Projectmanager will always roll first, unless you have done your work – backing yourself up…

..Documenting EVERY little bit of your work, and more…

But, when the documentation is secured, and your proper means of communication are provided for… Your time as emperor is way more secure and successful…

Not to forget, but so much more fun!

Best Regards and
Much Success

Arne Yri

How To Choose a Reputable Online Casino
· Jun 25, 09:51 AM

by: Adel Awwad

With literally thousands of online casinos on the internet, it can sometimes become very confusing as to which ones are safe and reputable, and which casinos are not. So many of them are beautifully designed, look very professional and offer great signup bonuses, so how does one go about choosing the “reputable” online casinos while avoiding the “dodgy” ones?

When choosing an online casino to play at, one should always take into consideration the following points:

Licensed casino: Is the casino licensed? While many online casinos are licensed, a significant number of casinos are not. There are plenty of unlicensed, illegal gambling casinos which are nothing more than money scam operations. One should always avoid these casinos at all costs.

Where is the casino licensed?: While online casinos licensed in Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Kahnawake, Netherlands Antilles, United Kingdom and the West Indies are recommended, online casinos licensed in Eastern Europe should be approached with extreme caution.

24/7 Support: Does the casino offer 24/7 phone, fax, live chat and email support? Test the casino’s customer service department by asking them a few questions about their games, bonuses, etc and measure how long it takes to receive a decent response.

Professional Recogition: Is the online casino officially recognised by various gaming bodies and authorities? For instance, are the payout percentages of the online casino independently reviewed by auditors such as PricewaterhouseCoopers? Is this information made publicly available?

Blacklisted: Is the online casino blacklisted for any reason? There are many casinos which have been blacklisted by several gambling portals for one reason or another. Although not all blacklists are credible sources of information, one should avoid online casinos which appear in several blacklists.

Software: Casino software providers such as iGlobalMedia, Microgaming, Playtech, Random Logic, Real Time Gaming and WaterLogic are very popular and have excellent reputations in the online gambling industry.

With so many online casinos coming and going, and with so many cons and scams surfacing on the internet everyday, one needs to be especially careful when registering one’s credit card with or transferring money to an online casino. The above set of guidelines may not completely safeguard a player’s money, but they are nevertheless a good set of common sense points to go by when choosing an online casino to play at.

Poker Odds Pot Odds And Hand Odds Explained
· Jun 24, 01:16 PM

by: Oddvar Pettersen

To be successful at poker you should, at any time during the play of a hand, be able to calculate the odds of catching your hand to the odds the pot is giving you.

Knowing the probability of making a specific hand in poker can be done by calculating hand odds. Figuring out how many outs you have will give you the possibility of calculating the number of times you will hit your hand by the river.

Lets say your’e dealt A-9 of hearts in Texas Hold’em and the flop comes up showing two hearts. Your hand odds for hitting another heart by the river will be approximately 36% or 3 to 1. (you will hit your hand 1 out of 3 times)

You can figure this out by first finding the number of outs that you have. Outs are the number of cards remainig in the deck ( not visibe to you) that can help you make your hand.

So if we are using the hand above as an example and you hold A-9 of hearts and catch two hearts on the flop, than you have 9 more hearts in the deck that can help you complete your flush. 2 hearts in your hand + 2 hearts on the table minus 13 hearts in total = 9 outs.

If you multiply your number of outs by 4, than you will get an approximate percentage of hitting your hand by the river (9×4=36%).

Poker pot odds is the a ratio between the size of the pot compared to how much it will cost you to call a bet from another player. The higher the ratio between the size of the pot and the cost of calling a bet, the better your poker pot odds are.

If there are $40 in the pot after the flop and a player bets $10 and two other players calls his bet then you are getting 7 to 1 in pot odds. If you are chasing the A-9 flush draw from the flop , than you are getting 36% or 3 to 1 in hand odds to catch your card at the river, so calling or even raising this bet will be a correct decision to make.

Free Lottery Wheeling System
· Jun 24, 10:43 AM

by Noah Faulkner

A lottery wheeling system means you choose a base ‘subset’ of numbers, for example in a 6 number lottery, you might choose the numbers 1 to 7, and then combine them in ways ensuring that all 7 numbers ‘get a go’ in the 6 number lines. By playing combinations of a set of numbers, you are doing something similar to the ‘permutations’ in football pools.

Let’s look at a typical choose 6 numbers from 49 lottery game. Say your ‘base’ subset of favorite numbers are 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. However, you want to play the 7 as well. How can you best spread out’ your lines in order to maximize the possibility of winning should any of your base numbers come up? By wheeling’ them. Here’s an example.

01 02 03 04 05 06
01 02 03 04 05 07
01 02 03 04 06 07
01 02 03 05 06 07
01 02 04 05 06 07
01 03 04 05 06 07
02 03 04 05 06 07

Notice how the columns change as you move downwards. As you can see, there are 7 entries (at 7 dollars or 7 pounds cost). While these seven lines have the same chance of winning the jackpot as any other seven lines, it does increase your winnings should any of your numbers come up, because it increases the probability of winning multiple prizes.

Don’t believe me? Lets’s imagine the winning numbers are

01 02 03 04 48 49

Looks like a 4 ball win!. Actually, it’s better than that! You have actually won…

01 02 03 04 05 06 – 4 balls
01 02 03 04 05 07 – 4 balls
01 02 03 04 06 07 – 4 balls
01 02 03 05 06 07 – 3 balls
01 02 04 05 06 07 – 3 balls
01 03 04 05 06 07 – 3 balls
02 03 04 05 06 07 – 3 balls

I.E 3 four ball wins AND 4 three ball wins. Pretty impressive, huh? So what’s the downside? Wheeling a small selection of numbers means you ‘cover less of the bases’. In the above example, we only covered 7 numbers out of 49, at a cost of 7 bucks. We could actually have entered 7 lines covering ALL 49 numbers at the same cost. So perhaps you now understand that you are less likely to win, but win more if your numbers DO come up!

How do you generate these numbers? Simple. Choose the base set of numbers you want, then ‘wheel’ them by first creating the first line, then on each subsequent line, modify the next leftward column as in the example above. If you want to wheel the numbers 1 to 7, first create the line

01 02 03 04 05 06

The next line would be

01 02 03 04 05 07

as this enables you to bring your seventh number into play. And the next line?

01 02 03 04 06 07

as this enables you to combine the 6 with the 7 and so on until every column has been modified. Want to do this automatically online for free? head on over to www.bet4less.com!

Online Bingo Internet Craze
· Jun 23, 01:29 PM

by: Jessica Martin

Youve heard of bingo, what about online bingo?

Traditional Bingo has been a popular pastime for many years throughout the world. Its a great meeting place for friends and family and a great place to meet new people in such a relaxed atmosphere. Its no surprise that there are over 60 million bingo players worldwide.

The average bingo player is predominately female, aged 30-60, and is located in North America. Avid bingo players stick to their routines, such as playing bingo on certain nights of the week, each and every week. Playing bingo becomes part of their routine, part of their way of life. They start to form a friendship with the players around them and players will easily notice if a regular is not there. Most bingo players even have a lucky seat. Traditional bingo halls can however be a tad smoky, its sometimes difficult to manage multiple bingo cards, and some players struggle to get to the bingo halls or they simply do not have the time, especially for stay at home moms.

Wait, now theres a new form of bingo, an evolution in the bingo generation. Its bingo on the internet, online bingo! You may ask yourself, how can playing bingo online give the same satisfaction as playing bingo with family and fiends in a traditional bingo hall? Why should I change my lifestyle?

The fact of the matter is that Online Bingo has its own set of unique advantages. In a recent survey done by a popular online bingo portal, the number one reason for playing online bingo, was meeting new people.

Playing online bingo tears down borders and allows you to play online bingo live against other players around the world. You heard me correctly; online bingo is multi player, one game with players from all over the world. Each site has Multi Chat which is accompanied by a Chat Host also known as a CM. Its the job of the Chat Host to recreate the atmosphere of the bingo hall and to help with support. Multi chat also allows you to meet new friends and to share to excitement in real-time, such as when you have 1 number to go, you will see the acronym 1TG, which is one to go!

You wanted to socialize with your friends, there you go, hundreds of new friends at the press of a button. Hours of chatting, hours of fun! Online Bingo is attracting males and females, young and old.

There are many advantages to playing online bingo. What if your local bingo hall is not near you house? What if the weather outside is terrible? What if you are not feeling like getting dressed and driving all the way to the smoke filled bingo hall? What if you are disabled and find it difficult to move around? What if you are simply too exhausted from the days work? The answer to all your questions is online bingo. Just go and sit in front of the computer, visit you favorite online bingo site (http://www.bingogringo.com), click and you are ready to play, ready to be transported into the amazing world of online bingo.

Online Bingo sites have colorful graphics and entertaining sound effects. The new generation of online bingo site allows you to play bingo instantly without downloading a thing. When you sit down at your computer watching the screen; you are transformed into a world of bingo.

Due to improved technology you can play as many cards as you want Your bingo cards are filled in automatically , so you dont need to worry about completing your cards and worry if you missed out a couple of calls. You can also increase your odds of winning with more cards. And if you have the lucky card, your account is credited automatically. A new online bingo site (http://www.online-bingo.com), is offering a one million dollar jackpot every month. I doubt there is a local bingo hall offering that.

Simply put, online bingo games industries have really done a great job on giving the online players a bingo hall atmosphere. And for the best part, its always open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you can enjoy the game in the convenience of your own home.

It was found that during the Super Bowl, online bingo sites have a massive increase in traffic. Thats right; you can play whenever you want and you dont have to sit around while your husband relaxes in front of the TV watching sports.

Online bingo can never replace your local bingo hall, but both online and offline bingo seems to have their own set of unique advantages.

So, if youre bored with the every day routine or if you just want to escape to a special place, jump in front of the computer and stand in line to win great cash prizes, you never know may even win the jackpot! To get started, you can pick a site from your favorite online bingo portal or try out this new no download online bingo site (http://www.online-bingo.com).

The Concept of Value in Sports Betting!
· Jun 23, 12:46 PM

by: Daniel B. King

In sports betting you need to make sure that your bets (and trades) are good value in order to make a profit. If you do not do this you will still win bets but profits may be harder to achieve.

Let me explain this last statement. I actually lose more bets than I win – but the prices or odds at which I bet compensate for the losing plays.

If you bet all season long on the NY Yankees (US Baseball) or Arsenal FC (English Premiership) – to win each game – you will probably end up with a fairly good winning strike rate – but it is unlikely that you will make any money. The odds will be ‘short’ and you may do better to try and predict when these teams might falter – and bet against them at the over inflated prices being offered on the opposing teams. These opposing teams will most likely offer the value – as they are not the popular betting choice.

When we flip a coin, we know that the true chance of it turning up heads or tails is 50% or ‘evens’ (1/1).

As an example we set up a ‘coin flipping’ betting event. A neutral party begins to flip the coin. With each subsequent flip there is a definite preference for heads in the betting. The bookmaker or sportsbook takes this in his stride, he has already set the odds at 10/11 (-110 US) for either outcome which takes into account his commission. He knows that this trend is fairly usual as heads is often favored in this type of event. He decides, however, to balance his books a little by reducing his odds on heads to 5/6 and increasing tails to 1/1.

Heads is now an even shorter price and represents no value. Tails now stands at a slightly better price but still only represents the ‘true odds’ or likelihood of winning at 1/1 or 50% and so is not value.

The event continues and still the betting favors heads. Why? Well the ‘average bettor’ does not really understand ‘value’, he does not understand that heads might well be a bad bet or hold no value. He just enjoys betting and since ‘heads’ is winning – he wants to bet on heads.

The bookmaker balances his books again with a dramatic shortening of the odds for heads to 4/9 and a lengthening to 6/4 (+150 US), on tails.

At this point the professional bettor would step in and begin to place bets on tails. He knows that he has got value at 6/4 for an event where the ‘true odds of success are 1/1.

Avoid The Biggest Online Casino Gambling Mistake
· Jun 22, 04:56 PM

– Trying To Win Back Your Losses
by Ryan D.

Online Casino Gamblers know gambling is risk taking, investing in the probability of an outcome that is yet to be determined.

Experienced gamblers often believe they have developed an intuitive instinct that guides them through their decisions about wagers, card playing, and when it’s time to quit.
It’s great to have a winning streak where you believe your instincts can be trusted as you follow them. What about when instincts are wrong?

What about when you know it would be best to walk away with your present winnings, but something in you wants you to stay and win back previous losses? This is where your desire and your instinct blur.

Suppose you lost $500 at playing online blackjack table today and after kicking yourself for the loss you tempt fate again a few hours later. So in the next session you are up $200 from your starting bankroll of $200. You could hit the online casino exit button right then with $400 in your pocket but you remember your earlier losses of $500. You have a desire to stay and win back earlier losses.

The desire to regain the earlier losses clouds your ‘instincts’ and you, without thought, strive to win your losses back. This is a mistake that experienced gamblers learn to avoid.

Most skilled gamblers begin their online casino gambling sessions at a psychological zero, meaning no wins or losses. This should be remembered anytime you begin to feel an urge to regain past losses.

Walk away a winner, and forget past losses. You are only likely to dig a bigger hole for yourself.
